Erica Gangsei
I’m Head of Interpretive Media at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, where I lead a team that creates engagement tools such as audio tours, artist video interviews, games, onsite educational spaces, and other digital storytelling tools. Honoring each interpretive medium as an expressive tool in its own right, we tell stories and create experiences that introduce the museum’s audiences to the people behind the artwork. As an artist myself, I have dedicated my career to fostering more personal and emotional connections with artists and artworks, and to sharing my passion for contemporary art with a wider and more diverse public.
