Haitham Eid
Haitham Eid is an Assistant Professor and the Interim Director of the M.A. Museum Studies Program at Southern University at New Orleans (USA) where he has been a faculty member since 2014. Eid completed his Ph.D. at the University of Leicester (UK) and his undergraduate studies at Cairo University (Egypt). His research interest includes innovation in museums, ranging from theory to practice, with a focus on digital and social innovation. Eid is the founder of the Museum Innovation Model (MIM), a framework that helps museum to innovate through the use of open innovation strategies, social enterprise business model, and the concept of social innovation. Eid has served on various conferences and workshop programs committees. He currently serves on the MCN 2016 Conference Planning Committee and the Cultural Heritage and Social Change Summit Organizing Committee.
