Maria Burns

Originally hailing from Niagara Falls, New York, I moved to New Orleans 4 years ago. I earned a dual-bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and Art History from the University at Buffalo in 2006. Shortly after graduation, I moved to Brooklyn, New York, where I worked as an Archivist for contemporary artist, David Salle. I also interned at various New York City institutions, such as The Museum of Arts in Design, El Museo del Barrio, and Louise Blouin Media. I currently work as an Exhibits Curator for the Louisiana State Museum, where I design, manufacture, and install exhibits. I am also currently working towards a MA in Museum Studies at SUNO.
